I am a passionate public health practitioner, strategist, and community-builder who believes deeply in the power of prevention and the promise of equity. For more than a decade, I have worked across government, community, and educational spaces, designing systems and solutions that center people. My heart is in creating pathways that support youth, families, and communities who have historically been overlooked yet remain essential to our nation’s future.
I currently serve as
- Chair Elect of the Council of Affiliates
- Caucus Collaborative Representative for the APHA Nominations Committee
- Chair of the Public Health Education and Health Promotion Section
Beyond my APHA roles, I lead Village Public Health, where our work focuses on youth wellness, sexual health, workforce development, and community healing in both rural and urban communities. Everything I do is grounded in prevention, belonging, and creating spaces where young people recognize and utilize their power.
As I grow into this next chapter of leadership, I am actively seeking a mentor. I am looking for someone who has experience navigating national-level leadership, organizational growth, or public health entrepreneurship. I would especially value guidance from someone who understands the unique experience of leading as a Black woman in public health and the balance it takes to move boldly while holding community at the center.
