Hi! My name is Lauren Garcia (she/her/ella). I've been working in public health for the last 10-ish years. I say "ish", because some of my work study and summer jobs in college had medical and public health focuses. I've worked both coasts (NY, SF), in the middle (NE), and in the south (ATL). I've done children's programs, BRFSS surveillance, blood donation, HIV testing & counseling, abortion access, helped run obgyn clinics, sexual & reproductive health research, mental health services, and maternal and child health consulting. You name it, I've probably done a little bit of it.
In my free time, I eat a lot of quesabirria, hang out with my dogs, and irresponsibly spend my money on niche items from Instagram sponsored ads.
