APHA, in conjunction with the Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center, is offering a free webinar that showcases how public health professionals are supporting trails and walking programs. Join us on Nov. 13 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET.
To encourage appropriate levels of physical activity in their communities, public health practitioners across the nation are getting involved in promoting walking programs and trail use. Additionally, trail managers and walking advocates are leveraging opportunities for collaboration with their partners in health to promote walking and trail use as a safe, accessible way to improve health. Walking programs can contribute to the treatment and prevention of a number of chronic conditions such as diabetes, depression and high blood pressure.
This webinar will show how diverse communities are aiming to improve public health through trail use and walking programs.
Please forward this invitation to other interested colleagues. We look forward to your participation!
