The American Public Health Association invites Affiliates to apply for funding for the 2015 project year to support activities that prepare local, tribal, state and territorial health departments for national accreditation.
To be eligible for funding, Affiliates must have established or propose to establish a close working relationship with their local, tribal, state or territorial health department. They must also clearly demonstrate activities that will lead towards national accreditation, although it is expected that these activities will vary by region and/or state.
Affiliates who received funding in a previous grant cycle must clearly demonstrate success having assisted health departments achieve or make significant progress towards national accreditation to qualify for subsequent funding. Multi-Affiliate applications will not be accepted; however APHA encourages Affiliates to share promising practices, resources and tools related to their accreditation efforts at the state and national levels.
