The Kresge Foundation is seeking nominations for Emerging Leaders in Public Health, a new leadership development initiative designed to equip local public health officers with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively lead their agencies in the changing healthcare environment. Through a nationwide competitive process, Kresge will select teams from eight local governmental public health departments to participate in the first cohort for this 16-month program. With technical assistance from national public health experts, each team will undertake a real-world, hands-on project that will have immediate impact upon their departments.
State government public health officers and leaders of SACCHOs and APHA state and regional public health associations are each invited to nominate three highly qualified local governmental public health officers from different jurisdictions to participate in the program.
