Disability Justice: Public Health for Collective Liberation

When:  Apr 13, 2026 from 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM (ET)
This opening session establishes a shared foundation for understanding disability, ableism, and Disability Justice as critical public health frameworks. Participants explore how disability is shaped by systems of power—racism, capitalism, audism, heteropatriarchy, immigration policy, and poverty—and why Disability Justice offers a necessary shift away from deficit-based and compliance-driven approaches toward liberation, dignity, and collective access.
