Nathan Earl is the Principal Public Health Advisor at giantslayer., LLC, where he focuses on using research and public health strategies to address human trafficking and related violence through a syndemic lens. He’s especially passionate about advancing health equity for underserved male populations—including boys, men of color, and 2SLGBTQIA+ youth—and brings critical insights to federal agencies, state programs, and nonprofits across the country.
In addition to his national consulting work, Nate serves on the New Haven Youth Commission, helping shape policies and research that improve outcomes for local youth.
A big believer in collective impact, Nate combines evidence-based practices with innovative prevention strategies to break down systemic barriers facing marginalized communities. He also played a key role in developing the curriculum for the 2024 International Conference on Violence Against Men and Boys, focusing on public health interventions designed for vulnerable male communities.
Nate collaborates with groups like the National Center on Child Trafficking, Yale School of Public Health, Quinnipiac School of Law, and others to create safer, more inclusive systems for male survivors.
When he’s not immersed in research and policy, Nate loves spending time outdoors, enjoying nature and music, staying active, and hanging out with family—because balance matters.
His recent research explores service access barriers and the risks linked to commercial sexual exploitation of males, contributing to important reforms in policy and practice aimed at creating a fairer and more just public health landscape.
