My Background: I obtained dental training at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and specialty training in Geriatric & Special Needs Dentistry and Dental Public Health at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. I am a Fellow of the American Board of Special Care Dentistry, a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health, and Fellow of the International College of Dentists. I have been involved with the APHA Oral Health Section since Fall 2013.
My Work History: Besides specific research/consulting opportunities, I have worked as a clinician and researcher in non-profit (Apple Tree Dental), academic (Mayo Clinic), and public settings.
My Interests: Oral health access, clinical care, oral--systemic health links, oral health of older adults, oral health of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, and global health.
