Hello! I'm Alison T. Brill (she/her), a public health and social impact leader. I am passionate about building healthy, thriving communities and advancing health equity and social change. My work sits at the intersection of public health and mental wellness and I develop collaborative and effective strategies to improve health and well-being with and for communities. I've worked with partners at the federal, state, and local levels to deliver innovative programs rooted in equity, inclusion, and accessibility. I actively practice and hold space for reimagining and rebuilding our public health systems.
My 15 years of professional experience and expertise includes:
● Strategic partnerships and client and community engagement
● Organizational capacity building
● Impactful training and technical assistance
● Culturally responsive health education and communications
● Writing and copyediting
Within APHA, I'm honored to serve as the Chair of the Medical Care Section's Health Equity Committee and Membership Committee, a mentor, and a contributing author of The Medical Care Blog.
I'm also a socially conscious DJ and organize uplifting, community building dance spaces. I find great joy in collective music making, dancing, and being in nature.
I welcome the opportunity to connect and explore 1) new collaborations and partnerships, 2) how we can support one another, and 3) how we can collectively create a world where everyone is healthy, supported, and thriving. I look forward to connecting!
