Dr. Olivia J. Lindly, PhD, MPH


Bio

Olivia Lindly is passionate about advancing health equity for diverse children and their families, particularly children with developmental conditions such as autism. She is an Assistant Professor in Health Sciences at Northern Arizona University and holds a research appointment at the Oregon Center for Children and Youth with Special Needs. Her academic background is oriented in psychology and public health. She additionally received intensive pediatric health services research training through the predoctoral fellowship program at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the postdoctoral Harvard-wide Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship program based at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is presently the Principal Investigator for a pilot project program grant from NIMHD and an Organization for Autism Research applied research competition grant to adapt and pilot an evidence-based parent education and training intervention (Parents Taking Action) for Diné (Navajo) parents of children with autism. She is also a Co-Investigator on two NIMH R01-funded projects. Dr. Lindly has published her work in peer-reviewed journals such as Pediatrics, Health Services Research, Autism, and the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. In 2021, she received the AcademyHealth Nemours Child Health Services Research award for promising early-stage investigators. Dr. Lindly teaches courses primarily in public health at the undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. levels and enjoys mentoring students in their professional endeavors at these different levels.
