Victoria Pless is the Assistant Director for Overdose Prevention at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO). In her role she leads technical assistance and capacity building support to state, territorial, and local health agency staff and leaders in overdose surveillance and prevention activities. She is an subject matter expert in evidence-based and promising practices around harm reduction, substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and support, working with people with lived and living experience, equitable overdose-related public health policy, public health and public safety partnerships, and using data for action. Victoria works closely with federal, non-profit, for profit, and community-based organizations through policy development, strategic planning, and relationship building to identify challenges in overdose prevention activities and identify solutions. Prior to her work at ASTHO she received her MPH at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill (2019) where she worked with America's Health Rankings.
