Dr. Araba Otoo is a residency-trained optometrist with clinical experience across the VA health system, private practice, and the Indian Health Service. She earned her Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2022 and holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Illinois at Chicago, awarded in 2017.
Dr. Otoo is deeply committed to advancing the intersection of public health and optometry. Her professional mission focuses on integrating public health principles into eye care to improve visual health literacy, strengthen prevention strategies, and promote health equity in vision care delivery.
She is the founder of Cherish Eyesight and Vision Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to eye health education globally. Through this work, Dr. Otoo has collaborated with leading organizations on initiatives that advance global eye health and support community-based vision care.
