Dr. Christi M. Navarro is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Public Health at in the Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work at Florida International University. She is a proud alumna of FIU where she received her Ph.D. in Public Health, Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies, and B.S. in Biological Sciences. She also received her M.S. in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Navarro has over 20 years of experience in education, public health, research and leadership. Her research has focused on mental health and well-being, with a particular emphasis on mental health literacy.
Dr. Navarro recognizes that the most rewarding aspect of her faculty role is to work with talented and motivated students who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the world. She is known for her unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and diverse perspectives.
